Welcome to the parenting website & resource hub that feels like a trusted therapist’s office—safe, comfortable, and ready to support you through whatever you’re experiencing.

Postpartum Brain helps parents make sense of perinatal mental health challenges with research-based resources designed for early parenthood.

You already know that postpartum is way different than just the “baby blues.” Now, you need real answers and support from someone who’s been in your shoes (or, let’s be real—the same milk-stained sweatshirt for three days straight).

Trust me when I say, you’re in the right place.

You’re beyond the generic parenting advice that makes everything sound so damn easy (most of which may be from a generation that hasn’t raised kids in DECADES). You know postpartum is messy, overwhelming, and nothing like those perfectly filtered Instagram moments you were anticipating.

You’re at the point where the fantasy of perfect parenthood is over, and you’re on the hunt for trauma-responsive resources (rooted in science, of course!) that actually help. Support that makes you feel seen (when you may be feeling more invisible than ever). Validation that reminds you: it’s not just you.

Because the truth is, no amount of “sleep when the baby sleeps” advice is going to fix the mental load you’re carrying or heal you after a traumatic birth.

Essentials For Postpartum Mental Health Support & Early Parenthood

Hi, I’m Riley!

I know I’m not the only mom who is so over the confusion and isolation of postpartum mental health struggles. When I was experiencing intense postpartum anxiety and intrusive thoughts after the traumatic birth of my first child, my husband (bless him) was actually the one who Googled “postpartum rage” and helped me read through the information.

Determined to make this information more accessible and readily available to people (like me) who’d been going through it alone, I founded Postpartum Brain in 2020. In the five years since, I’ve graduated with my Bachelor’s in Psychology, completed a Master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy, and built my own successful private practice specializing in reproductive mental health care—all while overcoming the challenges of fostering and adopting my beautiful daughter, surviving a VBAC with my third, and navigating my fourth (and final!) pregnancy.

So, you can say I am passionate as f*ck about doing whatever it takes to help others. Past Riley didn’t have the resources that I’ve created over the past few years for parents today—but against all odds, I’m making damn sure that you do.

To all the new parents out there—it’s time to prioritize your mental health.
